Rockies purchased the contract of RHP Chris Volstad from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Volstad earns the final spot in the Rockies' Opening Day bullpen by posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 4/0 K/BB ratio over 12 innings in the spring. With the pitching struggles that they have had in recent years, having another option in the bullpen capable of throwing multiple innings is a wise decision.
