Rockies optioned 2B Josh Rutledge to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Manager Walt Weiss indicated recently that he was going to stick with Rutledge through his slump, but evidently he had a change of heart. The second baseman sports just a .242/.298/.357 batting line for the season and is hitting only .206/.250/.294 over his last 11 games. The Rox appeared poised to go with D.J. LeMahieu at second base for now.
