Rockies manager Walt Weiss believes Carlos Gonzalez will be able to handle center field in 2014. Colorado penciled CarGo into center when they traded Dexter Fowler to the Astros. "It's something that's been the topic of conversation," Weiss said, when asked if it was fair to ask Gonzalez to play center. "We want to be careful. Not that you can prevent every injury, but it's my job to give him a break here and there and save his legs, because he is going to be running around that big outfield in center field. ... I think Cargo is excited about it. He's going to come into spring training knowing that he's going to have to do that and play that position."
