Rockies designated RHP Wilton Lopez for assignment. It wasn't too long ago that Lopez was a quality reliever in MLB, but he was demoted by the Rockies two months ago and had a 4.66 ERA over 29 innings in Triple-A. The Rockies still owe him a little over $1 million for the rest of the season.
