Rickie Weeks felt a pop in his left hamstring while running the bases Wednesday but clarified after the game that it was just scar tissue breaking free. "It's a great thing, for sure," Weeks said. "Now I'm good. . Now that I've had that release, I can keep strengthening it more and more, and just keep working through it." Weeks had season-ending surgery on the same hamstring last August, and he left Wednesday's game shortly after feeling the pop. The incident scared him at first, but there won't be any residual effects from the scar tissue releasing. The 31-year-old is batting .368 this spring and is looking to regain the starting second base job from Scooter Gennett.
