Richard has been acquired by the Cubs from the Pirates for cash. He will start Saturday's game against the Marlins, Bruce Miles of the Daily Herald reports. The Cubs were scrambling for a starter to replace the injured Tsuyoshi Wada in the rotation, while the veteran left-hander was stuck at Triple-A Indianapolis for the Pirates. In nine starts this season, Richard has posted a 2.09 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 56 innings, but he's done with just 25 strikeouts against 13 walks.
