Richard allowed three runs on 11 hits and three walks with four strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision Tuesday night against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Despite allowing a season high in hits, Richard managed to keep the floodgates from bursting. Luckily for him, just two of those hits came with runners in scoring position, allowing him to keep his streak of six starts with three or fewer runs allowed intact. Richard has a ridiculous 1.04 ERA and a decent 27:13 K:BB in 35 innings since moving to the Padres rotation. Expect some regression, but the 33-year-old has pitched like a solid mid-rotation pitcher in his chance this season.
