This was Richard's first game since June 21, after undergoing two shoulder surgeries. He is 46-47 in his six-year career and holds a 4.33 ERA. The start means he's at least close to 100 percent again. He could add depth to the Diamondbacks' rotation or stay at Triple-A Reno at the end of the season.
