Lail signed a minor-league deal with the Mariners on Thursday, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lail became a free agent in mid-October after refusing an outright assignment to the minors, but he'll wind up in the Mariners' minor-league system after all. The righty recorded a decent enough 4.41 ERA in 16.1 innings for the White Sox and Mariners last season, though he struck out just 16.9 percent of opposing batters while walking 9.9 percent.
