Chavez was dealt from Atlanta to the Angels ahead of the trade deadline in early August, but he posted a 7.59 ERA and 1.78 WHIP in 10.2 innings over 11 relief appearances with his new team. The 39-year-old displayed some potential earlier in the year, so the veteran will be free to seek out other opportunities during the final month of the 2022 campaign.
