Dahl was placed on the injured list with lower-back soreness Aug. 19, and he'll return to the active roster after a relatively long absence. He isn't starting Wednesday against the Padres with Kevin Pillar taking over in center field. With Pillar now in the fold for the Rockies, the two could end up sharing time in the outfield over the remainder of the season.
