Weaver (shoulder) had his rehab assignment paused Monday after he was a close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Weaver tossed 73 pitches across 4.1 innings during his rehab start at Triple-A Reno on Friday, but he'll now spend some time away from the team. The right-hander will be eligible to return to action within a few days as long as he doesn't test positive for the virus. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll require another rehab start following his shutdown.
