Refsnyder was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

Refsnyder will take the roster spot of Dustin Ackley, who was placed on the DL in a corresponding move due to a dislocated shoulder. Refsnyder recording just three at-bats during a prior stint with the Yankees this season, but is slashing .294/.340/.404 through 35 games at the Triple-A level. A concrete role has yet to be established for Refsnyder, as the Yankees are hopeful Mark Teixeira (neck) will be able to handle the majority of first base reps left behind by Ackley.
