Reds GM Walt Jocketty said Tony Cingrani is not the fallback plan if they don't sign a left-handed reliever. "The plan is for him to get ready as a starter for [Triple-A] Louisville," Jocketty said. "He's certainly capable of pitching out of the bullpen, but we'll keep as a starter for now." Cingrani, a third-round pick in 2011, compiled a 1.73 ERA with 172 strikeouts over 146 innings between High-A Bakersfield and Double-A Pensacola this past season. With Aroldis Chapman converting to a starter, he's currently blocked at the major league level, but could be an option for the Reds' rotation at some point in 2013.
