Reds and OF Chris Heisey avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.76 million contract. Heisey, who was arbitration-eligible for the second time this winter, hit .237/.279/.415 with nine home runs and 23 RBI over 244 plate appearances last season. He'll get a slight raise from the $1.325 million he made in 2013. The 29-year-old will function as a reserve outfielder and right-handed bench bat for Cincinnati in 2014.
