Red Sox signed RHP Ryan Dempster to a two-year, $26.5 million contract.

Dempster turned down multiple two-year offers this offseason before ultimately signing with the Red Sox. While his level of play declined during the second half of 2012, he should add some stability to Boston's starting rotation. The 35-year-old right-hander posted a solid 3.38 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 153/52 K/BB ratio across 173 innings this past season between Chicago and Texas, but is likely due for a regression pitching in the AL East.
