Red Sox signed OF Scott Podsednik to a one-year contract. He's getting a major league deal and will join the team Friday, with Ryan Kalish going back to the minors. Pods was dealt by the Red Sox to the D'Backs just a couple weeks ago but was released before playing a game for them. He batted .387/.409/.484 with a homer and six steals over 19 games in his first stint with the Sox.
