Red Sox released LHP Chris Capuano. Not surprisingly, Capuano cleared waivers after being designated for assignment by the Red Sox last week. The 35-year-old had a 4.55 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over 31 2/3 innings of relief with Boston this season. It shouldn't be long before he finds a new home elsewhere.
