Red Sox optioned SS Stephen Drew to Low-A Greenville. Drew needed to clear waivers in order to be optioned, which he has done. The shortstop is expected to get in around 25 at-bats in the minors in order to knock the rust off before the Red Sox bring him back up. Alex Wilson has replaced Drew on the roster.
