Red Sox manager Terry Francona acknowledged Friday that Josh Reddick will get the majority of the playing time in right field over the struggling J.D. Drew for the time being. "He's swinging the bat awfully well. It's kind of hard not to play him," said Francona, who actually compared the situation to when Jed Lowrie supplanted Marco Scutaro at shortstop earlier this season. "I think Josh deserves to play. He's given us such a lift in our lineup." Reddick, 24, is batting .378/.432/.671 with four homers and 18 RBI over 95 plate appearances this season. We wouldn't pick him up in standard mixed leagues quite yet, but he's certainly worth monitoring.
