Red Sox manager John Farrell said he doesn't expect Felix Doubront to experience any residual effects from his increased workload in 2012. "There shouldn't be anything that would indicate we've got to be conscious of one specific thing," said Farrell. "He'll be monitored like every other starting pitcher, but I don't think there's anything that says, just because of that increase in innings, you've got to be overly conscious of anything." After missing the majority of 2011 due to injury, Doubront pitched a career-high 161 innings last season and admitted to being overworked down the stretch. However, the 25-year-old didn't exhibit any physical problems other than routine fatigue. The Red Sox are not expected to put him on an innings-limit and are hoping he can build on his first full season by becoming a workhorse No. 4 starter.
