Red Sox manager John Farrell said Friday that while Stephen Drew has made progress in recent days, he's still "a ways away" from returning. They had been hoping that Drew would be ready to return for the weekend, but that looks very unlikely now. Since he is experiencing concussion-like symptoms, he will need to be cleared by an MLB doctor before returning to action. The longer he's held out, the more unlikely he is to be ready for Opening Day.
