Red Sox manager John Farrell clarified Friday that despite his struggles offensively, Stephen Drew will remain in the Red Sox lineup for Game 6 of the ALCS on Friday. The 30-year-old shortstop is just 1-for-17 with eight strikeouts in the series, and continues to be lauded for his tremendous defense at shortstop. Farrell prefers to shore up the middle of the field defensively, rather than looking to generate extra offense by starting Will Middlebrooks at the hot corner and shifting Xander Bogaerts to shortstop.
