Red Sox designated LHP Chris Capuano for assignment. Capuano had a 4.55 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in 31 2/3 innings of relief, and after a five-run outing his last time out the Red Sox finally decided they'd seen enough. He may catch on somewhere else on a minor league deal, but it appears to be getting to the end of the road for the 35-year-old.
