Matijevic was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Wednesday.

Matijevic was sent down in early August but will rejoin the major-league club as outfield depth after Aledmys Diaz (groin) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday. Matijevic has slashed .189/.246/.340 with two homers, two doubles, six runs, four RBI and a steal over 26 big-league games this year. He isn't starting Wednesday against the White Sox but should be available off the bench.
