Miami recalled Edwards from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Edwards will add some versatility to the Marlins' position player mix with Jazz Chisholm (toe) facing at least a month-long absence. Edwards, 23, has batted .316/.431/.390 with zero homers and eight steals in 26 games this season at the Triple-A level. He stands 1-for-6 through three major-league games.
