Abreu was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in mid May, but he'll return to the big-league club after Corey Kluber (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list as part of a corresponding move. Abreu should serve as a reliever once again, while Deivi Garcia is slated to take Kluber's place in the starting rotation.
