Rea was placed on the disabled list Sunday with an elbow sprain, but it sounds as if the Marlins want to get a closer look at the elbow of their recent acquisition. Teams tend to fear the worst in this type of situation, and if the injury turns out to be a long-term concern, the Marlins will have ultimately gotten all of 3.1 innings out of Rea following the July 29 trade.
