Rays manager Joe Maddon said Tuesday that Brandon Guyer (thumb) is not close to being activated from the disabled list. Guyer has played in three rehab games at Triple-A Durham and is making progress, but he needs more time. The outfielder fractured his thumb barely over three weeks ago.
