Rays manager Joe Maddon said Monday that Juan Carlos Oviedo (elbow) is "about a week" away from being activated. Oviedo is recovered from Tommy John surgery, but he got a late start in camp due to visa issues, so his rehab assignment essentially served as his spring training. He should eventually work his way into a setup role for the Rays.
