Rays claimed LHP Pedro Figueroa off release waivers from the Athletics. Figueroa was placed on released waivers before Christmas in order to make room for Chris Gimenez on the 40-man roster. The 27-year-old posted a 4.10 ERA and 49/33 K/BB ratio over 59 1/3 innings at Triple-A in 2013 and will serve as relief depth for Tampa Bay.
