Rasmus (hip) was placed on the disabled list Friday prior to Tampa Bay's game against the Orioles, Steve Carney of 620 WDAE reports.

EDGE Analysis

The move is retroactive to June 19 as Rasmus hasn't seen seen the field since Sunday. He is dealing with left hip tendinitis, but should be able to return when he is eligible near the end of next week barring any setback. In his place Peter Bourjos will likely see more time on the field while Shane Peterson takes the roster spot and should be in line to get a couple starts in his absence.
