Rasmus (hernia) will start a rehab assignment this week, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. There have been some false starts in the course of his return from surgery in March, but Rasmus appears to be on the right track now. The 27-year-old struck out more than a batter per inning while posting a 2.57 ERA in 30 games (six starts) for the Angels last year, and could slot back into their bullpen mix upon his return. However, he'll likely need to complete a fairly lengthy rehab assignment first after missing much of spring training and the first third of the season.
