Rasmus allowed just one hit over four innings while striking out four against the Mariners on Wednesday. Rasmus had what may have been the best outing of his career Tuesday, but his lack of endurance cost him and the Angels, as he was was forced to give way to a bullpen that allowed 13 runs over the remaining five innings. Rasmus threw 43 pitches in the outing, and if he can continue to pitch well, he could be stretched out in his final two outings of the year, as Matt Shoemaker will miss his next start with an oblique strain.
