Rangers signed RHP Daniel Bard to a minor league contract. The deal was first reported by MLB Network's Peter Gammons, who also reported that Bard recently underwent thoracic outlet syndrome surgery. Bard was non-tendered by the Cubs last month after being claimed off waivers in September. The 28-year-old's control issues the last two years have been well documented, as he has a long way to go before he can be taken seriously as an impact arm again.
