Rangers released RHP Daniel Bard. Bard allowed nine walks and 13 earned runs in four appearances -- encompassing just 2/3 innings -- at Triple-A Round Rock. The 28-year-old righty had a 2.88 ERA and 9.7 K/9 in 197 innings between 2009-2011 with the Red Sox but his career has fallen apart since.
