Rangers recalled C Luis Martinez from Triple-A Round Rock. The 27-year-old backstop appeared in one game with the Rangers earlier this season as a defensive replacement and did not get an at-bat. He'll serve as the club's backup catcher behind Geovany Soto while Mike Napoli recovers from a strained quad.
