Rangers general manager Jon Daniels refused to speculate on whether Mike Adams can pitch the ninth in the future. While Daniels said that Adams is "capable" of closing ballgames, manager Ron Washington said that Adams and Koji Uehara would pitch the eight, with one "occasionally" pitching the seventh.
