Rangers acquired LHP Tommy Hottovy from the Royals for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Hottovy was designated for assignment by Kansas City last week after allowing 11 hits and five walks in 9 1/3 innings this past summer with the big league club. He'll act as organizational relief depth for the Rangers.
