Quintero was reassigned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday, ESPN Boston's Gordon Edes reports. This was expected when Qunitero accepted a $100,000 retention bonus to stick around. With Christian Vazquez (elbow) out for the season, Quintero will be the third catcher in the organization, behind Ryan Hanigan and Sandy Leon. Of course, top prospect Blake Swihart is seemingly on track to reach the majors this season, so Quintero may not be needed for long.
