Putkonen (elbow) has been recalled from his rehab assignment but remains on the DL, Matthew B. Mowery of the Oakland Press reports. Putkonen struggled in three appearances with the club's Low-A West Michigan affiliate, giving up four runs on four hits, including a homer, while failing to record a strikeout over 2.2 innings. He'll effectively continue his rehabilitation now that he's rejoined the major league team, with the Tigers having no reason to rush him back.
