Ortiz has served as a decent piece for Double-A Altoona's rotation this season. In 114.1 innings, the hard throwing righty has put up an ERA of 4.41, a 1.17 WHIP and nearly 10 K/9. If Ortiz can put up similar numbers in Triple-A, it is possible he could find himself on the major league roster at some point next season.
