The White Sox recalled Gonzalez from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Adam Engel (hamstring) became the fifth White Sox outfielder to be added to the injured list Tuesday, so Gonzalez will be summoned to restore some depth. The 25-year-old likely won't be in store for regular at-bats with all of Andrew Vaughn, Leury Garcia (knee), Brian Goodwin and Jake Lamb ahead of him in the pecking order in the outfield.
