Mitchell will be promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis to close out the season, Jarrod Prugar of DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Mitchell has been at Double-A Altoona since the start of the season, and he slashed .280/.330/.429 with 12 homers, 61 RBI, 43 runs and six stolen bases. The 22-year-old will match up against the top level of minor-league competition late in the year and could be in the mix for a major-league promotion at some point in 2022.
