Presley refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs and elected free agency Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Presley had been underperforming the last two months, slashing .138/.211/.154 since May 12 leading to the Brewers designating him for assignment on Tuesday. The 30-year-old went through waivers unclaimed but instead of accepting an outright assignment, he chose to enter free agency. Given his relatively young age and moderate success in the majors (career .253 BA) it's likely he'll get picked up by another squad in need of outfield depth.
