Cahill resumed playing catch in early July, and Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said Wednesday that the right-hander is lining up to face live hitters soon. The 33-year-old will be sidelined until at least mid-August while he's on the 60-day injured list, but he's making progress in his recovery.
