Porcello (3-5) allowed five runs (four earned) on 11 hits with no walks across six innings in Tuesday's win over the Rangers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Porcello tied his season high for hits allowed, but he scattered the baserunners as well as one could and nearly escaped the seventh with a respectable line in hand, only for two more runs to score with two outs. He struggles seemed to stem from poor location rather than a lack of control, as he went without a walk for the third time in four starts while throwing 69 percent of his pitches for strikes. Porcello hasn't been near the form that landed him the Cy Young award last year, but he has gone at least six innings in eight of 10 starts this season and will look to improve upon his 4.35 ERA in Sunday's start against the Mariners.
