Plutko was optioned to High-A Lynchburg on Monday.

Plutko rejoined the big club Friday as part of the wave of September callups, but because right-hander wasn't likely to see much work out of the bullpen before the end of the regular season, the Indians decided he would be better served joining Lynchburg during the Carolina League playoffs. The 26-year-old will likely represent one of Lynchburg's top relief arms for the duration of their playoff run before returning to the Indians later in September.
