Gardner will start in center field and bat ninth Wednesday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out five times in a six-game stretch last week, Gardner looked like he had moved into a fourth-outfielder role for New York. However, he'll end up picking up a fourth consecutive start Wednesday, perhaps suggesting that his time as a near-everyday player hasn't yet come to an end. Even so, Gardner's .213 batting average and declining power and speed probably won't make him worthy of rostering outside of AL-only leagues.
