Pirates released LHP Jonathan Sanchez. Not surprisingly, Sanchez failed to draw any interest after he was designated for assignment early last week. The 30-year-old southpaw has an obscene 8.73 ERA and 60/61 K/BB ratio over 78 1/3 innings at the major league level dating back to the start of 2012.
